Funnel Cake @ the Carnival

What is a Funnel Cake??? :) A Funnel Cake is a regional food popular in North America at carnivals, fairs, sporting events, and seaside resorts. Funnel cakes are made by pouring batter through a funnel into hot cooking oil in a circular pattern and deep frying the overlapping mass until golden-brown. When made at concession stands, a pitcher with an integral funnel spout is employed. Funnel cakes are typically served plain with powdered sugar, or with jam,Cinnamon, Nutella, fresh fruit, or other toppings. (Wikipedia)

I've been craving for this since i got back. The first time I tried it was at Sea World, San Diego. It was soooo delish. :)  yes yes yes!!!  After spending a week with Nadine in NY i went back to Jersey. Then as soon as i got back my cousins invited me to come with them to the carnival. The church set up the carnival at the vacant lot beside St. Matthias church as a fund raising project.. It was a 10-15 minute walk from their house or 2-3 minute drive. I felt like a kid again. As much as I like to go on the rides that day I was on a tight budget because I'm saving up for something. :) If its bracelet night it alright because its ride all you can but it wasn't soooo no rides for me. The funnel cake was soooo good but its really hard to finish so i asked Dominique to help me out.

       Crumbs Cupcake Bakeshop is located at the Upper West Side of Manhattan. I passed by Crumbs on my way to the 34th street subway station. It was a rainy day perfect for eating a cupcake and I was drawn into the store's impressive selection of cupcakes, pastries and cakes. I bought one it was so delicious,  moist and topped with just enough icing. :)

The bakes shop is small  with a few round tables and a long counter.

Friendly staff considering it took me a while to figure out what i wanted to order.

Day at the Museum

I watched the movie "Night At The Museum" for a couple of times now so I asked my good friend Nadine to take me to the American Museum of Natural History. I was kinda curious  if the characters in the movie are all there but nope their not maybe its in the other museum in Washington DC. I wasn't disappointed at all because the museum is so amazing. Its really big that it took us 5 hours looking and trying to "absorb" the different information regarding the artifacts and stuff. In the end we weren't able to see the whole exhibit because we lack time. Its the first place that I visited since I got back to NY and i fell in love all over again. I <3 NY.
